RIDE & STAY AT ALLTYBRAIN FARM FOR HORSERIDERS!

Whether you choose to come and stay here for one night only as part of your mapped out route or you wish to spend your riding holiday based here and do our shorter loops coming back each day, you can be assured that both you and your horse will be welcomed and well looked after!

Horses can either be stabled and/or put out to graze on a DIY basis. We have individual stabling for up to 6 horses in a large airy barn with all the stables facing each other. Extra feed can be specially ordered in advance. Straw and hay are supplied.

There is a secure tack room, a hosing down area and an airing place for wet rugs, tack and clothing! We have an outside tacking up rail to tie your horses to if the weather is sunny or plenty of space inside the barn to tack and mount up if its raining!

We are happy to help you plan your riding holiday from here and have detailed riding directions and map routes to other horse Bed & Breakfast accommodation. The routes will take you through the most stunning Welsh countryside with fabulous views of The Brecon Beacons, The Black Mountains and The Cambrian Mountains. We can provide luggage and horse equipment transfer to your next destination. In 2005 the BHS opened the Three Rivers Ride and in 2006 the Radnor Forest Ride and just completed in 2008 is an exciting new trail in ancient landscape called "The Epynt Way" which is easily accessed from Alltybrain Farm. This has opened up miles and miles of off-road riding for the intrepid horse rider! It can be wild but is not rugged and the tracks tend to be good and offer lots of opportunities for long canters and gallops across flat-topped hills, though it is hilly and there are some steep routes so your horse will need to be fairly fit. You do need to feel comfortable with a map and a compass, as many of the routes are not way-marked and you may very well ride all day without meeting anyone else! There is good mobile reception in most areas!
Horses are the liability of their owner during their stay and no responsibility can be taken for them by the proprietors.
